Lochbroom Woodfuels Ltd is a community-owned social enterprise based in Ullapool, in the Highlands of Scotland. We're committed to creating a reliable and sustainable firewood supply chain in our area and providing supported training and work placements for young people.

Laura Traynor, Business Manager

Laura joined Lochbroom Woodfuels in January 2015. Laura previously worked for Ullapool Community Trust running the Pure Power for Lochbroom project (2012-2014) which advised households in the area on energy efficiency, renewable energy and woodfuel use.

Lindsey Russell, Admin Assistant

Lindsey will be here to take your orders and calls! Lindsey lives locally on the outskirts of Ullapool but is originally from Lincolnshire. After only relocating here three years ago (December 2012) Lindsey settling in very well and is enjoying the country life.


Carrie Urquhart, Yard Assistant

Carrie is Lochbroom Woodfuels newest Yard Assistant.  Carrie is originally from Ullapool and has lived here her whole life.  After leaving school aged 16 she then worked on the family croft. The things Carrie enjoys are been outdoors, driving and animals, especially sheep! And loves to be busy all day and relax at the end of it with a cup of tea.

Reuben Brown

Chair of Lochbroom Woodfuels and director of Ullapool Community Trust.

Robbie McFedries

Robbie joined the board in 2014 to advise on rural youth skills development and provide support on our Workin' Wood project. He is headmaster at Ullapool High School. He brings teaching and leadership experience in the Scottish state and independent school sectors. 

Serena Mason

Serena is a director of Ullapool Community Trust.

Rebekah Lwin

Rebekah is a member of the Ullapool Community Trust Board and joined the board of Lochbroom Woodfuels in 2015.  She is a retired Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer and has a longstanding professional interest and expertise in youth development and the transition of young people into adulthood. She brings leadership, management and supervisory experience through her NHS and University experience in England and Scotland.
