Our mobile machine can be powered by petrol engine or PTO tractor shaft so is ideal for taking off-site to where the timber is. It cuts stems with a diameter of up to 14 inches (36cm) and has a four-way and a six-way splitting axe. The hydraulic log-lift moves logs from the ground into the cutting mechanism, reducing strain on the operator's back. When the site is set up correctly, this machine processes about three cubic meters of firewood an hour.
We can take this mobile machine off-site to process firewood at the customer's premises. This service is aimed at small woodland owners or domestic customers who use firewood as their main fuel. If you're not lucky enough own a supply of timber, we can arrange a bulk delivery of 25 tonnes of 3-metre long stems to your premises and bring the Farmi WP36 to process it into split logs. Groups of neighbours can share the timber and machine hire to bring down costs further.
To get the most benefit out of the processor we recommend that the site is laid so that:
- we can position the machine on a hardstanding or other flat area
- the timber lengths are stacked neatly on skids, angled so that they can roll directly on to the processor
- there is space for a trailer or dumper truck to take the split logs from the conveyor feed to the log shed
